Terms of service
Last updated
Draft. Have these terms reviewed by a lawyer before the first store submission, then delete this note.
These terms are an agreement between you and TODO: legal entity name (“we”, “us”) about your use of the WheelNotes app and this website.
Using WheelNotes
You need an account to use the app. Keep your password to yourself — you are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly at support@wheelnotes.fr if you think someone else has access to it.
You must be at least 16 years old.
What you may not do
Do not use WheelNotes to break the law, to store someone else’s data without their permission, to attack or overload the service, or to attempt to access parts of it you have no right to.
Your data is yours
You keep ownership of everything you put into WheelNotes — your vehicles, records and documents. You grant us only the permission we need to store and display it back to you, and to operate the service. We do not use your content for anything else.
Maintenance advice is not a guarantee
WheelNotes helps you keep track of maintenance. It does not inspect your vehicle and it does not know its condition. Due dates, health indications and cost figures are calculated from what you enter and from general intervals — they are a reminder, not a professional assessment.
You remain responsible for your vehicle’s roadworthiness, servicing and legal compliance. Always follow your manufacturer’s schedule and consult a qualified mechanic. Do not rely on WheelNotes as your only record for a safety-critical or legally required task.
Availability
We aim to keep WheelNotes running, but we do not promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue the service altogether, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to export your data.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits, or for vehicle damage, repair costs or penalties arising from a maintenance task you did or did not carry out. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
If you are a consumer, you keep all the statutory rights your local law gives you.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from inside the app — see Delete your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, and will tell you why unless we are legally prevented from doing so.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is significant we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use WheelNotes after that means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by French law, and the courts of France have jurisdiction, except where consumer law entitles you to bring a claim where you live.
