Delete your account

You can delete your WheelNotes account yourself, at any time. You do not need to ask us, and you do not need to give a reason.

From the app

  1. Open WheelNotes and go to the Profile tab.
  2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
  3. Confirm.

By email

If you can no longer sign in, email support@wheelnotes.fr from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. We will confirm your identity before acting, and complete the deletion within 30 days.

What gets deleted

Deleting your account removes:

  • Your profile — name, email address and photo.
  • Every vehicle on the account.
  • All maintenance tasks, service history, mileage readings and recorded costs.
  • Every document and photograph you uploaded.
  • Your preferences and notification settings.

What we keep, and for how long

Backups are overwritten on a rolling cycle, so data can persist in them for TODO: retention period after deletion. We do not restore deleted accounts from backups.

Where the law requires us to keep certain records — billing records, for example — we retain only those, and only for as long as we must.

This cannot be undone

Deletion is permanent. There is no recovery period and no way for us to restore your history afterwards. If you want a copy of your data, ask us for it before you delete the account.

If you have a subscription

Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription bought through the App Store or Google Play — store subscriptions can only be cancelled in the store itself. Cancel there first, then delete the account.
